I had no hopes about the movie at all.
In April 2012, 100 years since the sinking of the RMS Titanic, A new, similar-looking luxury cruise liner named the SS Titanic II is built. She then embarks on her maiden voyage using the same route the Titanic took 100 years before, but in reverse direction ( from United States to United Kingdom).During the Atlantic crossing, effects of Global Warming cause the Helheim glacier in Greenland to collapse, creating a tsunami that sends an iceberg crashing into the Titanic II. The entire starboard side of the ship is crushed, and the history seems to repeat itself.
While Titanic II starts to sink, another collapse of the Helheim glacier happens, and sends an even bigger tsunami across the atlantic ocean.
What did I think of the movie:
Well to be honest, it sucked...
Some of the ideas of this movie was good. But they shouldnt have made a Titanic II out of it.
The glacier collapse and the tsunami idea was nice and could maybe make quite the nice movie. But not with a new Titanic as mainstory.
The actors played their roles quite okey, though some over-acted, and some didn't act enough.
They could have done some of the animated parts better.
I'm not sure what to say more then this.
I can't suggest to watch it, but if you want to see it anyways, go ahead.
Very interesting subject, regards for posting.
